"Week of Caring" Food Drive

September 16th - 20th, 2024

What an incredible week we had during our Week of Caring Food Drive! This collaboration brought together community members, local businesses, and volunteers to support those in need. Over 3,000 non-perishable food items and $2,500 were donated to be distributed across 9 local food pantries, ensuring that it reaches families in need throughout our community!

Throughout the week, community members were encouraged to donate food at various drop-off locations across Midland. In addition, several local businesses joined the effort, hosting their own collection events and contributing generously to the cause. Donated items includes: peanut butter, canned vegetables and soup, canned fruit, canned meat, beans, pasta, oats, cooking oil, and juice. A special shoutout to all our volunteers who helped organize, collect, and distribute the donations. We couldn’t have done it without you! 

Collaboration Partners included: Atmos Energy, Blue Sky – Midland, City of Midland, Chevron, HEB, Kendra Scott, L & T Technology Services, Market Street, Midland College, Oncor, and United Supermarkets.
