One of our fourth grade students, "Isaac," has ADHD and trouble focusing. His parents expressed concerns when he first enrolled in the Education Station.
After a few conversations with his parents, we realized he needed special attention with his homework needs. At first, it was somewhat challenging for him to open up to others because of his shy nature. However, we could see he was a bright students because he knew most of the material he was learning. His main obstacle was focusing on his studies.
After several weeks, Isaac has opened up and interacts with his peers. He sometimes gets his homework done with our direct supervision. There are days that are hard for him, but for the most part, he has improved. In fact, his mother has noted the benefits of his attendance. She highlighted how his grades have improved and how he gets most of his work done in a timely manner.
