Community Impact: Midland Needs Assessment (Speak Up Midland!)
In recent years, increasing attention has been focused on the need for charitable organizations to be responsive to the real needs of the community they serve. Donors, as well as the community at large, require a high level of accountability in fiscal and program management. Speak Up Midland!, a comprehensive community needs assessment, is a powerful tool to assist our human service agencies and all those who serve the people of Midland to provide solutions for real needs. This scientifically conducted research project was facilitated by United Way of Midland. It was sponsored by a variety of community partners.
This project required broad community representation comprised of agency CEOs, community leaders, high school youth, community groups and randomly selected households in an effort to identify current needs.
